the last rose of summer夏日最后的玫瑰
left blooming alone;獨(dú)自綻放著；
all her lovely companions所有昔日動(dòng)人的同伴
are faded and gone;都已凋落殘逝；
no flower of her kindred,身旁沒(méi)有同類(lèi)的花朵，
no rose-bud is nigh,沒(méi)有半個(gè)玫瑰苞，
to reflect back her blushes,映襯她的紅潤(rùn)，
or give sigh for sigh.分擔(dān)她的憂(yōu)愁。
i’ll not leave thee, thou lone one!我不會(huì)離開(kāi)弧零零的妳！
to pine on the stem;讓妳單獨(dú)地憔悴；
since the lovely are sleeping,既然美麗的同伴都已入眠，
go, sleep thou with them.去吧！妳也和她們一起躺著。
thus kindly i scatter為此，我好心在散放
thy leaves o’er the bed妳的麗葉在花床上
where thy mates of the garden那兒，也是妳花園的同伴
lie scentless and dead.無(wú)聲無(wú)息躺著的地方。
soon may i follow,不久我也可能追隨我朋友而去，
when friendships decay,當(dāng)友誼漸逝，
and from love’s shining circle像從燦爛之愛(ài)情圈中
the gems drop away.掉落的寶石。
when true hearts lie withered,當(dāng)忠誠(chéng)的友人遠(yuǎn)去，
and fond ones are flown,所愛(ài)的人飛走，
o! who would inhabit��！誰(shuí)還愿留在
this bleak world alone?這荒冷的世上獨(dú)自凄涼？
